With the introduction of Sonic Unleashed, SEGA announced a new engine that will be used to harness the power of the PS3 and Xbox 360. The Hedgehog Engine, as SEGA dubbed it, allows for beautiful graphics and streamlined switching from 2D to 3D visuals. Of course, many feared that Nintendo’s system wouldn’t be able to handle such a sophisticated engine. We can confirm today that SEGA will be modifying the Hedgehog Engine in order to take advantage of the Wii’s resources. We took a spy shot… check it out!
