Music karma is PLUMMETING.  Why’s that?  Well, firstly, Mitch Mitchell died last week, on the 12th.  For those of you who don’t know, he was the drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, and one of the most influential drummers of the period, pioneering a style utilizing many different stylistic influences.  He was actually drumming on the 2008 Experience Hendrix tour when he was found dead in his hotel room of natural causes.  And the other cause for low music karma?  Three words: new Nickelback album.

Deftones Bassist Injured in Car Accident

Chi Cheng, the bassist of the Deftones, was involved in a car accident on Monday, and was taken to a hospital, in critical but stable condition.  Today, singer Chino posted an update on the band’s blog, saying that his condition was the same, but also made an interesting statement:
