Paramount Digital Entertainment “promised” to expand the casual market by publishing several games based off of teenage coming-of-age movies. Sometimes promises need to be broken, but Paramount has delivered by publishing “Pretty in Pink” (1986), “Clueless” (1995), and “Mean Girls” (2004) onto the PC and Nintendo DS.
The next game? None other than Grease. Paramount is collaborating with 505 Games in order to bring this monstrosity to life. Here are some details from Gamespot:
Players will sing and dance with Danny Zuko, Sandy Olsson, and the rest of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies. According to Paramount, the game will “take full advantage of Nintendo Wii’s motion-sensing controls and microphone and the DS’s touch screen.”
“Tell me more. Tell me more!”
It’s unclear if Paramount and 505 Games were referring to the Wii Speak peripheral or third-party microphones used by such rhythm games as Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band.
Right now, there is no release date for Grease (much to my dismay, this won’t be permanent).

Oh my God! A Grease video game. It has to come out. Oh my God!
I’m guessing you thought of a variation of that joke as you were writing this.
“Hey it’s John Travolta. You got to come out of the closet WHOAH MAH GOD.”
