To be honest, I’m hard-pressed to write a post today. Last night was rather eventful, I guess you could say. It wasn’t too difficult to predict that Obama would win, mainly because he hasn’t been a politician long enough for people to realize exactly what his principles are, unlike McCain. Although I did think it was very sympathetic of him to tell McCain that if he wanted him to concede the election, all John would have to do is raise his hand.
“Drink every time he says ‘Yes, we can!’” turned out to be very interesting to watch. But observing the candidates’ speeches on a deeper level, there was something truly motivating Barack. It might seem to be the fact that he had just achieved a major milestone in American history, but I don’t think that was it. It was probably actually the anticipation of the greatest night of his life, once he tucked his kids into bed and went back to his room with his wife. But seriously, you know he railed Michelle last night.
Usually, these things are supposed to have intelligent political insights, things of that sort. But to be honest, college students are probably the last people you would ask about that. Actually, come to think of it…they’re probably among the first. But still, forget that. Obama won the election, so get ready to be warned about how you’ll live in a socialist nation.
“I got 99 problems, but McCain ain’t one!” Seriously, how did he not pull that line?
